The Basics

Madeline lives in Sonoma County. She has 15+ years experience in the fitness industry along with a passion for helping inspire others in improving their health and achieving wellness goals. Cannabis has played a huge part in her personal wellness journey and she is always happy to provide education and knowledge to others who are “canna-curious”.

When taking Madeline’s yoga classes you can expect a challenging yet accessible flow focusing on proper alignment, reminders to breathe safe adjustments, and words of uplifting encouragement all set to fun and motivating music.

When she’s not teaching, she is most likely practicing Yoga (always a student!), wine tasting with friends, attending cannabis events or spending time with her ten-year-old blind rescue Pit Bull Zully.

What she's listening to, find her curated Spotify yoga playlists here. So you can flow on your own or just jam out to her favorite songs!

Madeline’s Story

Wine Country Native

Born and raised in Sonoma County, Madeline started dancing at the age of seven years old, studying all forms of dance (Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop). Madeline danced in several different local companies and dance teams in high school and spent summers in Colorado at the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop.  It was her Modern Dance teacher who first introduced her to Pilates back in 1998. She loved it right away and felt it had great potential to change her body and help back/hip issues she suffered from related to scoliosis.

She continued taking Pilates classes through her college years at Chico State where she graduated in 2003 with a Bachelors Arts in Communication Design, Media Arts.

In 2005, she moved to West Palm Beach, Florida to help her father run his businesses; a company that produced the traveling Artwork of John Lennon exhibits across the country while also managing an art gallery. Realizing that health and wellness had become more than just a hobby and looking to make a part-time transition into the fitness industry, Madeline decided to pursue her Pilates Teacher Training in 2008 and completed a 600 Hour Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Power Pilates. The following year she became one of the first Certified Xtend Barre Instructors when the renowned dance-based fitness program was launched in 2009 by Andrea Rogers in South Florida. She took on the position of Studio Director for an Xtend Barre & Pilates Studio in West Palm Beach from 2011-2014.

Madeline, Meet Yoga

After an injury forced her to take some time off from teaching Barre/Pilates, Madeline decided to try out a Hot Vinyasa Yoga class with a friend and immediately knew this is what her body, mind, and soul needed. At the time she was also suffering from depression and anxiety (but not wanting to take any prescription drugs) she found that a consistent yoga practice helped her feel calm, centered, and naturally happy.

When she moved to Fort Lauderdale in 2015, she found a “home” and community at The Yoga Joint Studios and went through their 200 Hour Hot Fusion Flow Yoga Teacher Training under the direction of Kelly Green and Paige Held and enthusiastically started teaching right away. For the next few years, she was lucky enough to take trainings and workshops from some amazing world-renowned Yoga Teachers and draws inspiration from the likes of Molly Weintraub, Kino McGregor, Kerri Verna, Carmen Aguilar, Patrick Beach, Ralph Gates, Seane Corn, Jason Crandell, Bryan Kest, and Liz Arch.

California Love

In 2018, Madeline felt a calling back to California and moved back to Sonoma County where her family resides. Growing up, her family had a winery so it had been a dream of hers since she became a yoga teacher to teach classes at wineries. Additionally, she had been a long time Cannabis user and advocate so when the opportunity to take a five day Ganja Yoga Teacher Training with Dee Dussault (founder of Ganja Yoga) right as she was in the process of returning to California, she knew the stars were aligning and she was exactly where she needed to be.
